I sincerely regret purchasing this particular version of this title. I had previously downloaded the free PDF file of this title from Project Gutenberg and printed a copy on my office laser printer. It is far superior to this version. The drawings are such low resolution and fuzzy in this version as to be almost useless. I should have been tipped off by the ballpoint pen cover illustration someone thought to stick on this vintage text about pen and ink drawing. This is a wonderful title for anyone who cares about style and art in pen and ink drawing. But save yourself the disappointment and cost of buying this version. Download the free PDF and print it on any old inkjet printer. You'll have a much higher quality product.Product details

Inexpensive reference tool, but not terribly helpful. I haven't found much occasion to use it, but who knows-which is why I keep it on hand.
For me this book did not work.. The illustratioins were too small and this book really didn't serve my needs.
Informative study
The drawings are in a very bad resolution and the text has been scanned from a very bad quality version (it's even underlined in some parts). The internet free-version in PDF is far better than this one.
Besides, the book on display doesn't match the one I have received (for two times I've received another one).
This book seems to be very good in learning about pen and ink and I have always enjoyed the Gibson Girl illustrations.
As an artist this book is a reminder and enforcement for those lession that I learned years ago, some of which I am forgetting to apply.
I love this book. I was a little surprise at some of the content but that is apart of art. Like working with it and traveling with it is so easy because it is paperless.
